Jill Maynard Davy
My husband and I are a military family. He retired after serving 35 years in the United States Air Force. My love of country is only surpassed by my love of God and family. I was blessed with an artistic ability that was only discovered after I retired from a successful 30-year career in the building industry working primarily in marketing and sales.
I took classes at the McKinney Art Center in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Since then, my work has been exhibited at the Center, shown in local newspapers and on local television. I also enjoy sewing, quilting, gardening, golfing, woodworking, photography, hiking, motorcycle riding, and spending time with my husband and family.
I now work with various art mediums, my favorites being charcoal and pencil. I recently joined forces with a good friend, Jim Ford, and illustrated a book that he wrote. This amazing journey has been a true labor of love. I even learned through self-help how to publish our joint endeavor.
My inspiration comes from the glory of God and his creations, the vibrancy of nature, innocence of animals, and the loving memory of my mother. Through the support of my wonderful husband, closeness of my brothers, and the blessings of all my family and friends, I hope to bring joy and smiles to all who see what the Lord has gifted me in talent.
